Solar wind simulation with quasi X-lines and shear layers

The pink lines are the quasi X-lines which start to appear around time step 30 to 40 of the simulation. This is also where the current sheet formation starts to increase. The current sheets are extracted using the shear layers of the magnetic field and visualized using volume rendering of the $I_2$ value.
