Here we present the computation of the scaling behavior of crisis-induced intermittency with respect to the deviation from the critical value of the forcing parameter. The blue dots represent the average burst time, τ , defined as the mean time the system spends in each part of the attractor. These parts correspond to the two distinct attractors that existed before the crisis. The values of τ are computed for different values of the control parameter within the intermittent window and are plotted as a function of the absolute deviation from the critical value, |F − Fc |. This analysis reveals how the intermittent dynamics scale with the proximity to the crisis point, which is in agreement with the theoretical outcome.
